17 Years

17 years ago two kids stood in front of God and family and pledged to spend their lives together. They promised forever with no idea what forever really meant. They said they would always love each other no matter what.

If only they knew how much can change in 17 years. If only they could've looked into the future and seen what it would hold for them. They would see laughter and happy times. They would see smiles and love. They would see loneliness. They would see heartbreak.

They would see that look, filled with love fade from their eyes. They would see the end of everything they thought forever meant. They would see the end of their hopes, the end of their dreams.

They would witness that chapter of their life end. They would see it all if only they could look into the future. If they could, would they still stand there? Would they cling to each other a little tighter? Would they still say yes?

If they knew what 17 years would hold for them, would they still choose each other?
