Welcome to Our Blog!

I feel there should be a royal proclamation, or a fanfare, or at least a drum roll....or something. So here it is! The blog absolutely nobody has been waiting for, or even wanted, but you've got it now whether you like it or not, so you might as well read on.

I know what you're thinking, another self indulgent blog about life and triumph over hardship looking for a massive following and thousands of glowing comments saying how wonderful we are. To be honest though you couldn't be more wrong...although if you want to comment how wonderful we are, sycophants are always welcome.

I 'met' Mandy on Instagram during the summer last year. We soon got chatting about writing and it wasn't long before we discovered we had a similar 'weird' sense of humour and found the same unfunny things funny. Since then we've become close friends proving that you really can make genuine friends on social media.

We started writing together when Mandy asked me to contribute to her blog. It was with some trepidation I did so, not wanting to damage something she had worked hard for a year to establish and build up a following for. We found that we enjoyed writing together so much it became a regular thing which we have both really enjoyed. That was when we decided...well Mandy decided and I agreed, I find it works better that way....that we should set up a new blog together.

So what can you expect? Well, lots of mindless twaddle from me, combined with my very particular views on life in general, together with a variety of topics I tend to be quite vocal about. I'll be explaining why the Americans can't speak properly, eat some of the strangest food combinations on the planet, and how their lifestyle is totally different from the proper way in the UK. Basically I'll be putting Mandy right on a lot of things. We'll be writing individually and together, there will be our short stories and we'll be shamelessly promoting our books which, needless to say, are brilliant.

We'll be actively inviting comments and reader interaction so don't be shy and please get involved. I hope you enjoy reading the blog as much as Mandy and I have writing it.

Well, I don’t know what else to say that Andrew hasn’t already expressed! Other than to roll my eyes at his insistence that he must teach me to speak, spell, and eat properly! (Don’t you just love that British charm?)

While you will see that we do give each other a hard time, we really have become the best of friends over the past five months or so. We do share the same twisted and odd sense of humor. Trust me, if you met us, you would probably think we were absolutely nuts. We laugh at the most unfunny things all the time. And we have developed our own language basically … Though to be fair, Andrew does that anyway with his crazy made-up words!

Andrew will probably make posts where he waffles on for a while about some opinion or another. While, I on the other hand, will post many brilliant thoughts and ideas! I will amaze you all with my brilliance time and time again … Or something like that. (It’s okay, Andrew, you can stop laughing now.)

The reality is, as Andrew said, I came up with the idea for us to do this together, and he went along with it, as he does. You may not have asked for it, but I’m sure you’ll come to love it! This is us … Raw, not so unedited, but real. It’s who we are and we hope that you enjoy this peek inside the craziness of our minds and our friendship!
