It’s the end of another year. Can someone tell me how 2019 is over already? I swear, the entire year is a complete blur. So much has happened in my life since last New Year’s. Some of it has been good, some bad, and some amazing. I don’t know how I fit so much into one year!
Does anyone else feel like this past year has been so full of stuff that you’ve just forgotten a portion of it? That’s how my brain feels right now looking back on 2019. Andrew asked me what I was doing for New Year’s Eve last year, and I had to sit and think about it for a minute. Last New Year’s seems like another lifetime ago. I think maybe I have lived a lifetime in this past year.
My life at this moment is nowhere near what I thought it would be. I never imagined I would be where I am at right here in this moment. But, I’m so at peace with where my life is now and where it is headed. 2019 brought quite a few plot twists, if you will, to my life. But, that’s okay. Sometimes those unexpected plot twists in life can lead you to the greatest adventures you can have.
It’s impossible to know what the future holds. However, I have a good feeling about 2020. I truly believe that big things are coming my way this year. I believe that 2020 is going to be an amazing year in my life. I have a lot of hope for this upcoming year … Hell, for this upcoming decade even.
How about you, Andrew?
Andrew
New Year's Eve is a funny time for me. It kind of always has been, but more so in recent years. I look back at my New Year's Facebook posts and they all say the same thing, 'this is going to be my year', but sadly it never is.
Ever since I wrote my first book I've had a feeling in my water something amazing is going to happen. That I'll become a famous and successful writer so Michael Prentiss will be the same household name as James Bond and Jack Ryan.
This New Year's Eve feels different though. Things are starting to happen for me as a writer like never before. I've never had so much interest in the Assassin's Run screenplay and people around the world continue to read the book series. The most exciting thing that's happened regarding my writing is Mandy is now my agent in America! She's working incredibly hard to get my screenplay in front of the 'right' people at the big TV production companies and never taking no for an answer.
Although she's proving to be a real slave driver (is that the sound of the whip cracking again?) we're an amazing team and I can't think of anyone I'd want to work with or who I trust more.
The last few years have been emotionally difficult and have very much been a bit of blur but, for the first time I look forward to a beginning a new year and a new decade with hope and expectation and dare I say it? Excitement.
So as they say, watch this space!!
We hope you all have a very happy New Year!
Cheers to an amazing and exciting 2020!
